Wine in Lisbon – Ana Cristina Marques

There is no way to count how many prizes and honours Portugal has won in the past few years. Lisbon is no exception to this and we can see this is so almost every day in the busy streets of the historical centre. But other than monuments, typical neighbourhoods and good food, wine is produced and drunk in the capital or near it.

The purpose of this guide is to inform its readers about the wine-producing estates in the Lisbon area that have the seal of Enotourism and the wine bars where one can drink wine by the glass and where traditional appetisers are served. All and all, we cover 16 wineries, 26 wine bars and 10 wine stores.
